A work in Progress

Every day is a new day to strive and become a better person than I was yesterday.

Realization….

I see people who seem like they have it all figured out. They seem to be on top of everything they do and seem to know how to respond to challenges as they come. They seem to be well put together as if a single strand of hair is not out of place. Well, that is just a camouflage. Looks like we all have stories behind the masks we wear. Stories of pain, hurt, disappointment, regret, and maybe even love.

But what differentiates these seemingly unfazed and dedicated people is that they have their priorities right. If we let the mask fall and our sad stories be known, the pressure will only take us into the dark corners of our bedrooms as we sob and hope for the world to stop for our sadness. I learned that the world will not give a crap about one’s feelings. We just have to learn to deal with life in a healthy way.

That doesn’t mean to ignore the existence of matters that need to be addressed. It just means that we must not dwell in why things went wrong but rather acknowledge that they did, learn from the mistakes and plan to do better. We can’t let our personal struggles and all the little details that irk us dictate how we live our day to day lives. We have our lives to live. We will miss out on the present we have while dwelling on the past.

Live your life and don’t take anyone and anything for granted. Face challenges as they come. They will only make you stronger.

Smile, you deserve to live a healthy life.
